Greetings to you all bloggers! Now I'm going to write about the book that really captured my interest. This book is entitled the Angels and Demons. The title may sound something about evil but actually the book is not only about evil. It is actually about an adventure that led to many discoveries. It is really a thriller, I tell you.
Now, the book starts with the death of a scientist named Leonardo Vetra who invented the first specimens of antimatter in the world. By the way, antimatter is opposite to matter. Anything that comes near it or even touches it will annihilate instantly, leaving no trace of both matter or antimatter. Now back to the story, the protagonist of the story is Robert Langdon- a world renowned symbologist. A scientist(Maximilian Kohler) from CERN ( a nuclear institute in Geneva, Switzerland) called him and asked for his help to investigate about an ancient symbol branded on the chest of the dead scientist. Langdon is a symbologist and he knows that the symbol on the chest of the scientist is a symbol of the group called Illuminati.

Vittoria Vetra (the daughter of Leonardo Vetra) then arrives from her scientific research in the Baltic Seas grieving for her father's death. Upon her arrival, she meets Langdon and Maximilian Kohler tells her about her father's death. Langdon then explains to her the symbol in her father's hest and tells her that an ancient brotherhood was involved in the killing of her father. Kohler then asks her about the secret research which she and her father has been doing. At first, she doubts that their research led to his father's death but then eventually agrees and shows them their research- the antimatter. Vittoria then shows them specimens of the antimatter and how the antimatter works- how it annihilates matter in a few seconds. When they went to see the Haz-Mat Chamber(Hazardous Materials Chamber) Vittoria, Langdon and Kohler knew that the biggest specimen of antimatter has been stolen by somebody.
With this, both Langdon and Vetra flies to Rome after receiving a call from Rome that involves CERN. After this, they went on an adventure to look for the antimatter and for the 4 lost priests (the preferiti) and also discovered many things about the church, the real reason behind the death of the pope, and the involvement of the Illuminati brotherhood.
I like the book because of its adventures and the secrets that it tells as the story unfolds. It also tells a lot about the secret rituals of the church when they elect a new pope. The even find out who the killer is because of their constant will to find out who the real killer is. In the end, they became successful and was able to accomplish their mission despite the deaths of the preferiti and the explosion of the antimatter. They were still able to save the lives of many people and saved the Catholic Church from being ruined.
