Well, first of all, I just want to greet you guys a good day and ofcourse I would also like to thank you for viewing my blog. And now, here I am again and I will a new entry for my blog.
This entry will be about my weekend. But hey! Don't worry I won't make it so detailed and boring. My weekend was really nice, I must say. Despite the long examinations we just had it was a great reward for me when I went to SM last Saturday to see the PDA Scholars. Well I guess you already heard about PDA or the Pinoy Dream Academy. It's a famous show in ABS-CBN and there they show the talents of the PDA Scholars. These PDA Scholars stayed in the academy for a few months or so and then they get to be eliminated one by one until the grand scholar of the season will emerge. But anyway, I was so happy that last Saturday I got a chance to see 12 of the 20 scholars. I saw them all and they were singing and saying how grateful they are to be in Cebu again and stuffs like that. As usual, they showed off their talents in singing and they promoted their albums , shows and the usual cliche and stuff. There were so many people there screaming and cheering for their idols and they were like those crazy fanatics who would die for their idols.
The crowd was huge and I myself experienced the risk of joining this crowd. I was pushed, and someone even stepped on my foot! It really hurts even until now. but though, I then realized that it's not only me who experienced those things but I guess everyone there who just wants to see even a glimpse of their idols even from afar, even for a second. I also realized that those people there just like me are people whose happiness is also because of their idols. For these people, seeing their idols even for a second is like a lifetime achievement and happiness to them. I mean they are the kinds of people who will never leave their idols no matter what.
To answer the question,"What does it take to be a fan?", well I might as well answer that based on my experience. Being a fan is hard- considering all the risks which you will be facing. Many incidents have happened before wherein people get hurt or even die because of the will to see their idols. You might even be a victim of snatchers without even noticing it. But if you are a fan, those things will certainly be erased immediately because all you think is about seeing your idol. All you want to do there is just scream and shout the name of your idol and cheer for them like crazy. Seeing your idol will already maker you feel so ecstatic and you feel so happy. You even feel that their achievements are also yours. But though even with these thoughts, we can never deny that there are also external factors which we must all consider.
It is okay to be a fan but ofcourse we also have to think of the risks. We must ensure our safety all the time so that we might as well continue shouting the names of your idols without being hurt or damaged. After all, what will our idols be without us, right?
